On agricultural vehicles (e.g. combine) there are many actuators to move arms into position for seeding, fertilizing, harvesting etc. These actuators have electric motors to generate the force to move the arms. If these arms are not able to move correctly (e.g. they bump up against a tree in the field), the electric motor can’t turn freely and it will then experience a surge in electric current flow. Within seconds the motor could be destroyed. Our circuit breaker quickly detects the surge and opens the circuit – thus stopping the electric current flow.
